Hoppers Crossing student Jack has been announced as Wyndham’s young person of the month for September. Jack is a passionate youth advocate and encourages young people to share their stories and feel heard, using his voice to inspire other young people to speak up about mental health, equality and identity. Volunteering regularly with The Salvation Army and helping vulnerable people, Jack endeavours to make everyone feel included using his creativity and energy to help build a cohesive community. “I hope to keep using my voice to help others, especially young people who feel like they don’t have one,” Jack said. Each month, council selects a Wyndham resident to be awarded the ‘Young Person of the Month’.
