The government intends to have the debate in both the Lower and Upper Houses of Parliament wrap up on or by 10 December.
Section 5 of the Public Finance Management Act describes the fiscal year for Grenada as from 1 January to 31 December of each year.
However, the 2025 Estimates were presented in March because of significant disruptions due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl in July 2024.
Though the budget for 2025 was not approved until March 2025, in an interview in January 2025, Cornwall disclosed that the Cabinet signed off on an EC$400 million general warrant as guided by the Public Finance Management Act.
