September 30, (THEWILL) — President Bola Tinubu will on Tuesday, September 30, pay a working visit to Owerri, the Imo State capital, where he is expected to commission several landmark projects executed by Governor Hope Uzodimma and unveil a book authored by the governor.
Among the projects scheduled for inauguration are the remodeled Imo Concorde Hilton Hotel, the Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, the Asumpta Flyover, and the Imo Digital Learning Centre.
The state government described the initiatives as part of efforts to modernise infrastructure and promote sustainable development.
Governor Uzodimma has also rolled out several programmes in the digital economy, including MylmoApp, the Imo Digital City (IDCL), and the SkillUplmo Techosphere remote work platform.
In addition, the Orashi Free Trade Zone has attracted interest from more than seven oil and gas companies, a development officials say aligns with federal efforts to boost industrialisation, investment, and job creation nationwide.
