September 30, (THEWILL) — William Saliba has committed his future to Arsenal by signing a new five-year contract that will keep the France international at the club until 2030. The 24-year-old centre-back agreed fresh terms with Arsenal having initiated discussions in May. Sporting director Andrea Berta praised Saliba’s growth into one of the world’s finest defenders, citing his composure, intelligence and physical attributes. He has since earned three consecutive PFA Team of the Year selections whilst helping Arsenal finish runners-up in the league each time. Saliba has now made 140 appearances for the club across all competitions, scoring seven goals.
