This decision allowed other social media companies, such as Facebook, to follow. It was proof that yes, governments had attempted to manipulate social media to protect themselves. Musk is credited with allowing a youth revolution in favour of conservatism to take place and, ultimately, secure the White House. Since then, they appeared to reach somewhat of a truce, abstaining from further social media comments attacking each other. Governments which seek to censor social media and/or fine and imprison its CEOs will find America cold to their other needs.
