Schools were ranked by the guide based on the most up-to-date responses from the government’s Parent View survey (Ofsted’s official platform for gathering feedback from parents) for the 2024-2025 academic year. The Great British Schools Guide (GBSG) has released data to reveal the schools where children feel most secure, as rated by parents, and how safety links to academic performance. Only schools which had at least 30 submissions to the Parent View survey and a minimum of a 20% response rate were included in the guide. How did the Lancashire state schools rank in the GBSG list? Ribblesdale School had 95% of parents (from 560 responses) rank the school strongly for safety, while St Bede’s Catholic High School got 95% from 154 responses.
