The headteacher of St Bede's Catholic High School, on St Anne's Road, said the school’s doors were “temporarily locked” just before lunchtime on Monday. Police attended and a spokesperson for the school said there were “no safety issues”. A police spokesperson said two youths were seen climbing over the gate at the school.
