On September 29, Dorset Police received a report at 9.29 pm of a collision involving an unmarked police vehicle and a white BMW on the A31 between Stag Gate and the Roundhouse Roundabout. Dorset Police have confirmed that a police officer was treated by the ambulance service and taken to hospital for treatment. The injuries were not described as life-threatening or life-changing and he has since been released from hospital. A 35-year-old man, driver of the BMW has been arrested on suspicion of driving offences and enquires into the collision are ongoing. “Finally, I would like to thank members of the public for their patience and understanding while the road closures were in place.”
