New town councils have been announced for Bournemouth, Poole and Broadstone. The recommendations from the Task and Finish Group show 50 councillors will be elected across the three town councils. For example, in Bournemouth 76 per cent didn’t want it and in Poole 65 per cent were against the idea. “Examples of the additional charges on council tax bills in other towns are Falmouth £430, Blandford £254, and Weymouth £200 a year. Bournemouth and Poole may well catch up with these very quickly, charging even more tax for the same services already paid for in council tax bills.
