I didn’t come from money and grew up being highly suspicious of anyone in the financial field. I’m in my late 30’s with about $50k in liquid assets and know I need to get my butt in gear concerning financial planning. Any tips on how to find/vet financial planners would be extremely helpful. I’m trying to face a lot of fear over this and don’t have anyone in my immediate social surroundings who I’d trust to ask.
