Chery has submitted a patent application for its Tiggo 8 SUV, marking the seventh model the Chinese carmaker has filed for in India so far this year. Reportedly, the new-generation Tiggo 8 will debut in China later this year, and as per the design application, Chery has filed a patent for the new SUV here. While this may hint at a possible India launch, there has been no official announcement from the brand yet. If the Tiggo 8 is launched in India, Chery may offer it with a 245hp, 2-litre turbo petrol engine.
