LoopMagic is the AI tool launched by startup Boomy and producer Ramon ‘!llmind’ Ibannga Jr in 2024 as a way to create loops and sounds for musicians’ projects.
Now it’s getting a big update courtesy of a partnership with Google to use the latter’s Lyria 2 GenAI music model.
It’s powering a new ’30s Track’ mode which, yes, generates 30-second tracks “from jazz to J-Pop, classical to chiptune”.
As with LoopMagic’s existing service, these stems are “copyright-safe” and cleared for commercial use.
It’s about breaking through beat block, trying sounds you wouldn’t normally try, and constantly pushing the limits of what’s possible,” said Ibanga.
