Downtown Mooresville will host the 15th Annual Turkey Trot 5K on Nov. 27. The Thanksgiving Day race aims to support The Christian Mission's work with thousands of people who need a hand up. Starting at 919 N. Main St., participants can choose between a 5K run or a half-mile dash for young kids. $40 gets you into the main race, while children 10 and under can join the fun run for $10. Age group champs won't go home empty-handed either: special Turkey Trot prizes await.
