HKT/PCCW’s Now has officially announced a partnership with Disney+, making the streaming service directly available to its pay-TV and broadband customers in Hong Kong. Under the agreement, Disney+ content will be integrated into the Now TV app and web menu across mobile phones, tablets, smart TVs and set-top boxes. The Disney+ app is expected to be pre-installed on Now TV’s H1 set-top boxes by the end of 2025 (subject to storage availability). Now TV’s existing Junior Signature Pack (focused on children’s programming) and Asia Signature Pack+ (general entertainment and regional content) will be upgraded to include Disney+ as part of their bundled offers. Viewers noticed that politically sensitive episodes, including one referencing Tiananmen Square, were unavailable on the service when it launched locally in 2021.
