Domestic Abuse Displays to Go Up in Winnebago CountyThe Winnebago County Courthouse lawn will be the site of a an upcoming display on domestic abuse. The display is an attempt to raise awareness on the effects and impacts of abuse and its various forms. Amanda Jensen with the Winnebago County Attorneys Office explained the purpose of the display. The signs and displays will be lit up at night in purple which is the color identified for domestic violence. While most domestic abuse is verbal, it has the possibility of escalating into physical violence.
