More infoA proposal to create a shuttle service from popular venues in Glasgow has been made to the council after cars and buses were revealed to be the city’s biggest polluters.
During Tuesday's net zero committee councillor Stephen Docherty asked officers if it would be possible to create a shuttle service from sites like the Hydro and Hampden to encourage people to use public transport rather than rely on their cars.
During the committee questions were raised by Labour councillor Stephen Docherty over what measures were being taken to install shuttle services.
He said: “In relation to transport and I realise this is a difficult one, maybe we could have shuttle buses from the Hydro, Hampden and for the Commonwealth Games 2026 to get more people to stop using their cars.
“We are also working closely with things like the metro to try and help drive that forward.
