The event upholds the host band’s tradition of offering handpicked entertainment, featuring a diverse range of musicians, artists, and comedians who participate in the three-day schedule. The first-ever Solid Sound Festival occurred in 2010 at MASS MoCA, drawing a crowd of 5,000 people and featuring friends of Wilco and beloved acts like Jeff Tweedy’s longtime collaborator, Mavis Staples, in addition to The Nels Cline Singers, The Baseball Project, and more year one contributors, who helped shape the event into what it is today.
