The emails come from domains that are not Mono County, but imitations that are designed to mislead. While invoices from Mono County are occasionally sent by email, they are always expected and will come from an email address ending in @mono.ca.gov or @monosheriff.org. Mono County does not accept wire transfers for business transactions. If you received one of these emails and submitted a payment, please report it to the Mono County Sheriff’s Office at 760-932-7549, option 7.
