Zhaoxin, one of China’s key x86 CPU makers, has just announced its most ambitious processor yet—the KH-50000. The KH-50000 more than triples that, with 96 cores running at up to 3 GHz and 384 MB of cache. Alongside this flagship server chip, Zhaoxin also rolled out the KX-7000N, a half-generation refresh for desktops and workstations. The KH-50000 is Zhaoxin’s biggest step forward yet, both in core counts and modern server features. With DDR5, PCIe 5.0, and strong security measures, it shows how far Chinese chipmakers are advancing their domestic semiconductor industry.
