Sony Pictures Entertainment Germany has partnered with Little Dot Studios to roll out a suite of six new German-language YouTube channels, aiming to expand the reach of its film and television catalogue in the DACH region. The phased launch began this week with Absolute Action, a channel dedicated to crime, thriller and western films. The partnership combines Sony Pictures Entertainment’s library with Little Dot Studios’ expertise in digital distribution. The German team at Little Dot Studios, part of the All3Media-owned network, will manage the channels end-to-end, including content curation, publishing, community engagement and monetisation. “With Sony Pictures Television, we are working with one of the world’s largest and most renowned media companies,” said Nils Franck, Managing Director of Little Dot Studios Germany.
