The woman being rescued from the treeRESIDENTS OF Afasiebon near Kwadaso Agric Nzema, a suburb of Kumasi, woke up to the weird news of a suspected ‘witch’ crash-landing on top of an avocado tree in the area. According to some community members, they heard a loud bang in the area in the early hours of yesterday when residents of the community were asleep in their rooms. When the residents got closer, they said they spotted a woman perching on the tree. According to them, the woman was looking very weak, an indication that perhaps she may have fallen from the sky and accidentally landed on top of the tall avocado tree. Later on, a joint operation between the police and some community members helped to bring down the woman from the top of the tree, using a tall ladder.
