More infoWork to remove asbestos, disconnect gas pipes and demolish a former department store in a Surrey town centre will see the high street, alongside other main roads close for ten days, Surrey Heath Borough Council (SHBC) has announced.
The works will see a section of Camberley's High Street, alongside London Road, close for ten days.
The closures will run from Monday, October 13 and will see the London Road slip road, alongside the High Street from it's junction with London Road, up to Obelisk Way close.
"The road closure is necessary to safely remove gas connections prior to demolition works which will commence in the coming months."
The demolition of the former department store, alongside a former Thai restaurant is set to be completed in Spring 2026.
