The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) and the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday forged a partnership that would enable families graduating from the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) to acquire homes under the Expanded Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program. In a news release, the DHSUD reported that the partnership was formalized at the Abuab Towers, through the signing of a joint memorandum circular (JMC) that institutionalizes housing assistance for 4Ps beneficiaries. It is composed of 17 multi-story buildings, with 4,330 housing units on a 4.6- hectare development in Barangay Guitnang Bayan 2. He said the continuous partnership between the DHSUD and the DSWD will extend greater benefits to the country’s poorest households. The JMC marked a key step in transitioning families from social welfare dependency to long-term stability, ensuring that those graduating from the 4Ps program can look forward to more secure futures under 4PH.
