Every fall, U.S. News & World Report puts out its Best Colleges rankings, and the latest list gives us a good look at how schools in the Capital Region stack up. RPI also earned recognition for its engineering programs, landing at number 35 on that list, and was highlighted among Best Value Schools. In Saratoga Springs, Skidmore College stood out among national liberal arts schools, ranked number 37 in that category. Union College in Schenectady was not far behind at number 44, showing the strength of smaller private colleges in the region. And Siena University in Loudonville was the best among regional universities, ranked 16th in the North and 19th for value.
