The Ebonyi State Police Command says it has arrested three suspects in connection with a shooting incident that left a student injured during the Students’ Union Government (SUG) election at Ebonyi State University (EBSU). Naija News understands that the incident occurred on campus while the results of the election were being announced. According to police reports, the suspects allegedly attempted to disrupt the process by firing gunshots into the air to disperse the crowd. Tragically, a bullet struck one of the students, who was immediately rushed to the Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, for urgent medical care. The command further reassured members of the university community and the public of its commitment to ensuring safety and order during campus activities.
