Ambrogio Beccaria’s Allagrande Mapei Racing team achieved a remarkable victory in Leg 4 of The Ocean Race 2025, winning in Genova, Italy on September 3, 2025. Despite facing a power outage that left Allagrande Mapei sailing without instrumentation for an hour, the team regained their lead after passing the Italian island of Elba. They rounded the western waypoint off Alassio two miles ahead of their closest rivals, Paprec Arkéa and Biotherm.
