On Monday at 16:25, the CREDIT MUTUEL Class40 crossed the finish line in the prologue GLOBE40 in Cadiz.
The race was challenging, with a short but violent front to navigate at Cape Finisterre and strong competition from three other “scow” Class40s.
Meanwhile, the “sharp” Class40s engaged in an intense battle, with five competitors separated by mere miles after four days of racing.
The prologue of the GLOBE40 served as an excellent warm-up, providing a competitive environment without placing excessive risk on teams who have been preparing for months.
It’s important to note that this year, the prologue has a coefficient of 0.5, while stage 1 to Cape Verde has a coefficient of 1 and the longest stage from Cape Verde to Reunion has a coefficient of 3.
