After the superb start from Cadiz on Sunday, the Class40s of the 2nd edition of the GLOBE40 showcased their competitive spirit. By late Tuesday, the leading boats reached the Canary Islands, having already covered nearly 700 miles. Initially starting the race in light winds, the teams soon encountered the famed trade winds, allowing them to accelerate into downwind conditions. BELGIUM OCEAN RACING is close behind in third place, less than 2 miles from the second spot, promising an exciting competition ahead. Competition remains fierce among other teams, with BARCO BRASIL and FREE DOM engaged in a tight race, currently favouring the Brazilian entry.
