Sean Langman, Managing Director of Noakes Group, is set to compete in his first Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race with his yacht Back 2 Black, formerly known as Khumbu.
This year marks the 80th edition of the race, and Back 2 Black is the 100th entry, making it a significant milestone in the event’s history.
The yacht’s name is a tribute to the late musician Amy Winehouse, who co-wrote the song “Back to Black” in 2006.
Langman’s ambition to win the Rolex Sydney Hobart stems from a lifelong dream, having first competed in the race at the age of 20.
As the race approaches, Langman is focused on training and ensuring that Back 2 Black is ready to compete fiercely against a talented fleet.
