GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – 20 September 2025 – Tom Slingsby and the BONDS Flying Roos sit in pole position after the opening day in Geneva, following a day of racing that was described as a “chess-like battle” on the water. The Aussies delivered two remarkable comebacks in Races 1 and 3, clawing their way from 11th and 12th off the line to secure an impressive 4th and 3rd place finish. The result was all the sweeter for Slingsby’s crew, with the team required to sail in a three-up crew configuration alongside the other eleven teams. The revised timetable means racing on 21 September will now take place for Australians at 10:00 p.m AEST.
