David decides to pay the ransom and is told by the kidnapper to get on the subway system to deliver the money. The subway system and the subsequent chase scene are the best in the film. David chases Yung Felon into the subway system, both with guns, and the scene ends with David knocking out Yung Felon on a gangway. Despite a strong 30 to 40-minute period in the middle of the film, “Highest 2 Lowest” suffers from being an incredibly emotionally unengaging film. When you include the strange score and bad acting, I find it easy to conclude that “Highest 2 Lowest” is flawed.
