The Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA) held its 61st Annual General Meeting on September 25, 2025 at Villa Arrigo, during which seven members were elected to its Council. Returning members Edmond Brincat, Mark Bugeja, Thomas Galea, Paul Giglio, Ronald Mizzi, and Lucienne Pace Ross were joined by newcomer Karen Spiteri Bailey. They join existing Council members Fabio Axisa, David Delicata, Jonathan Dingli, Shawn Falzon, Christopher Portelli, Annabelle Zammit Pace, and Norbert Tabone. Outgoing President Mark Bugeja reflected on the Institute’s achievements over the past two years, guided by priorities including sustainability, taxation, anti-money laundering, digitalisation, and talent development. Following the AGM, the new Council elected its Officers: Jonathan Dingli as President, Annabelle Zammit as Vice-President, Paul Giglio as Secretary, and Shawn Falzon as Treasurer.
