Police say a 37-year-old man physically resisted officers after being caught with stolen property in Bath last week. Grace, of Elmira, was arrested on September 29 after officers were called to Hatfield’s Cash and Carry on Gansevoort Street for a report of shoplifting. Officers found Grace on East Washington Street with the stolen items, according to Bath Police. While attempting to take him into custody, police say Grace resisted, resulting in a brief struggle. He was released on an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Bath Village Court at a later date.
