Parking tight since new hospital opened in 2024Northern Health announced that the new parking lot at Ksyen Regional Hospital officially opened on Monday, September 22, marking the end of a long period of parking shortages at the site. The completed project provided 313 free parking spaces for patients, staff, and visitors. With the new lot in service, the temporary gravel parking areas used during construction were closed and converted to overflow parking as needed. To address the shortage, Northern Health arranged a series of temporary measures last fall. Eryn Collins, a spokesperson for Northern Health, said earlier this year that the new facility would ultimately deliver 313 permanent spaces, a significant increase from what was available during the Mills Memorial Hospital era.
