BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. – In recognition of National Opioid Awareness Day on Sept. 21, 2025, Berkeley County will host an Opioid Awareness Day event on Friday, Sept. 26, 2025, from 1-3 p.m. in the assembly room of the Berkeley County Administration Building, located at 1003 Highway 52 in Moncks Corner. Several local organizations that receive opioid grant funding from the County and help fight the epidemic on the front lines will be on hand to provide educational resources and other relevant information. FILESince 2022, Berkeley County has annually allocated opioid grant funding to eligible local organizations that help fight against opioid abuse. Funding has totaled $2.2 million and stems from a $26 billion National Opioids Settlement, from which funds are being distributed to state and political subdivisions.
