SUMMERVILLE, S.C. – In response to Wednesday’s assassination of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, the Berkeley County Republican Party and the Dorchester County Republican Party will host a community vigil on Sunday, September 14 at 6:30 PM at Hutchinson Square in downtown Summerville.
The event aims to bring together residents to remember Kirk, reflect on the values he promoted, and pray for national healing.
The news has prompted widespread reactions across South Carolina, including in Berkeley County, where political leaders and community figures joined calls for unity, respect for life, and rejection of political violence.
