Share this:A devastating fire burned through a Breezy Point residence last week, leaving a single mother and her two children without a home. The horrific blaze on Utica Walk was first reported to firefighters shortly before 3 a.m. on Thursday, Sept. 11, resulting in a large response from the FDNY and members of the Rockaway Point Volunteer Fire Department, the Point Breeze Fire Department, and the Roxbury Volunteer Fire Department. The fire was not brought under control until after 3:30 a.m., as the FDNY continued interior operations throughout the Breezy Point house. In addition, Blessed Trinity Parish announced an $8600 donation made to the family from parishioners and the Knights of Columbus.
