Councillors call for public access to Royston bridge over A505

Ivy Farm Bridge, between Royston Gateway and the McDonald's roundabout, belongs to Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) and serves as an agricultural bridge.
Councillors are urging HCC to make the bridge available for use as a public bridleway to connect Royston to Bassingbourn and Lillington.

Bassingbourn county councillor Adam Bostanci believes the new public bridleway would improve safety, saying: "This is a huge issue for Bassingbourn.
Royston county councillor Ruth Brown added: "There's a strong tradition of working together over the county border.
