The Winston-Salem, North Carolina, native turned Nashville transplant popped onto the country music scene back in 2020, when his iconic mash-ups and country remixes of nostalgic ‘90s and ‘00s songs first took TikTok by storm. Cooper Alan’s Masterful Mash-UpsAfter graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC), Cooper moved to Nashville to more seriously pursue a career in country music. “There's a lot of what I call down-the-middle country songs that are very lyric-focused, story-focused; there's some bluesy songs; there's some more rock songs; there's a freaking pop-rap song on there,” he reveals. “It's been our best tour; consistently, just numbers-wise, crowd-wise, people knowing the stuff, the energy—it's been really, really incredible,” he remarks.
