Asahi Group Holdings has suspended the order and shipment capabilities of its group companies in Japan after being struck by a cyberattack. The impact of the cyberattack is limited to Asahi’s Japan operations. There has not been any personal information or customer data leaks, according to the company. Approximately a third of Japanese companies have experienced a cyberattack, according to a May 2025 survey by Teikoku Databank. But when it comes to more sophisticated data protection, Japan does rank fairly highly.
