In a ground-breaking development, British lawyers acting on behalf of the Palestinian resistance — commonly known as Hamas — have today set in motion a legal challenge calling for its deproscription. The entire organisation was banned by then Home Secretary Priti Patel in a November 2021 move that was widely condemned and its legality probed.
