Hong Kong leader John Lee has not directly answered whether the city’s authorities had requested Singapore to extradite wanted activist Nathan Law before he was denied entry to the Southeast Asian country. He is a specified absconder under national security legislation. Law, who is wanted by Hong Kong’s authorities on suspicion of national security-related offences, has been in self-exile since 2020. Nathan Law is listed as one of the pro-democracy activists wanted by Hong Kong’s national security police. “The individual you referred to is an anti-China destabiliser who is wanted by Hong Kong police in accordance with the law,” he said.
