Stephen Lovell, 44, of St Margarets Road, Poole, drove a Ford car at 109 mph on Upton Bypass, Upton, where the speed limit is 70 mph. Lovell pleaded guilty at Weymouth Combined Court on Tuesday, April 22, 2025. The court heard that Dorset Police used manned equipment to record the speed. He was also ordered to pay £110 in prosecution costs and an £89 victim surcharge. The court took his guilty plea into account when setting the penalty.
