Brendan Allen, area coroner for Dorset, formally opened the inquest into the death of 78-year-old John Anthony Bishop at Dorset Coroner's Court on Monday September 29. It was heard that Mr Bishop was born in Brentwood, Essex, on May 13, 1947. Additionally, it was stated that at the time of his death, Mr Bishop was residing at an address in Victoria Avenue, Swanage, and was a retired graphic designer. It was added that Mr Bishop was formally identified using routine hospital identification. A post-mortem examination was conducted by Dr Stolte on September 25, leading to a provisional cause of death being documented for Mr Bishop.
