The Swanage Carnival is an annual event that attracts thousands to the town, offering air displays, parades, live music, fireworks and family activities. The organisations benefiting from this year's donations include the Friends of MS Purbeck, Friends of Swanage Library, Swanage Linking Lives and The Lexi May Trust, each receiving £1,000. Corfe Castle FC, Herston Village Hall, Mount Scar Cygnets Playgroup, Swanage Cricket Club, Swanage Skatepark Community Project, Swanage Tennis Club junior fund and Swanage Town & Herston FC each received £1,500. The Swanage Community Defibrillator Partnership received £1,500 and the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance received £2,000. The chairman's charity, the Swanage Disabled Club, received £4,000 and the emergency services, including the coast guard, lifeboat, fire and police, received donations totalling £1,600.
