Morebus is reminding passengers that bus services are often essential for older people, providing them with crucial links to the community, shops, hospitals and more. Nikki Honer, Morebus head of communications, said: "Bus services are vital for many, but particularly for the elderly. Morebus has highlighted certain features of its service designed to make travel easier for older passengers. They have also fitted their new buses with lighter coloured floors to help passengers with dementia, who may fear darker spaces. Morebus urges all passengers to consider the needs of older travellers, whether by offering a seat or being patient if those in front move more slowly.
