Brendan Allen, area coroner for Dorset, opened the inquest into the death of 54-year-old Lee Michael Brian Jeans at Bournemouth Town Hall on Monday September 29. The court heard that Mr Jeans was born in Reading on September 13, 1970, and at the time of his death he was a company director and residing at an address in Wimborne Road West. Emily Elgie, coroner's officer, told the court that Mr Jeans died on September 8 at Bournemouth Hospital. Ms Elgie said that after Mr Jeans was admitted to hospital he 'medically declined' before his death on September 8. Mr Allen formally adjourned the inquest for a full hearing to take place on February 19 at 10am, alongside requesting statements from Mr Jeans' GP and the hospital.
