In mid-October, the fences will come down as the Marin Headlands' view-laden Hawk Hill reopens to the public following extensive restoration work aimed at making the hill more accessible to the public.

But to Mooney, that’s also part of the experience of Hawk Hill.
“Being able to watch it blow in and out of the gate and waiting and hoping you might catch a hawk circling or two is certainly part of the magic of Hawk Hill.”
