The Royal Danish Embassy in Bangkok hosted the official opening of this year’s European Heritage Days on 3 September 2025, marking the start of the cultural initiative Krung Thep Creative Streets. As the current holder of the EU Presidency, the Danish Embassy welcomed diplomats, artists and cultural leaders to the residence. Jean-Claude Poimboeuf, Ambassador of France to Thailand and Bangkok Governor Chadchart Sittipunt. More than 14 Thai and European artists, including Danish and Norwegian participants, will create large-scale murals across neighbourhoods such as Charoen Krung, Talat Noi, South Sathorn, Surawong and Lumphini. Organized by the French Embassy in collaboration with the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Creative Economy Agency, the EU Delegation and European partners – including the Royal Danish Embassy and the Royal Norwegian Embassy – the initiative aims to celebrate Bangkok’s cultural heritage and contemporary creativity.
