The initiative is directly inspired by Finland’s decades-old baby box tradition, which has been credited with supporting infant health and family well-being. The campaign aims to provide Malaysian families with a safe, clutter-free sleeping environment for newborns. Co-sleeping is common in Malaysia, with surveys showing that more than 60 percent of mothers share a bed with their babies during the first week. The Finnish Baby Box offered by Mamaway includes a certified, hypoallergenic mattress and is designed to be sturdy and portable.
